INTRODUCTION

Wyke Millennium was the last Lodge in the English Constitution to be consecrated in the 20th Century, hence the choice of name by the Founders. A new Lodge and a new outlook, formed by a group of friends with the objective to ensure that all new members were greeted as friends and felt comfortable in their chosen Lodge.

The decision was made to meet in a hotel environment, with high quality surroundings and easy access for the members. We were fortunate to decide upon the Tickton Grange Hotel, which, courtesy of the Whymant family, has been our home since 1999.

We made the decision that our new Lodge should meet the aspirations of modern family life, hence we meet only 6 times per year, our Aims and Objectives are:

To promote the essence of freemasonry through friendship, harmony and an understanding in a new attractive environment.

To encourage the development of the fundamentals of Freemasonry by a strict observance of the foundations of Masonic principles, practice and conduct.

To project an attractive image of Freemasonry to young men and equally importantly, their families.

To create a climate of “Openness” with family friends and the community regarding Freemasonry.

To encourage active participation of newer Brethren in the activities of the Lodge. To take advantage of the movement of the population to the dormitory suburbs.

OUR APPROACH

We welcome new members who are interested in leading a fulfilling and enriched life, with concern for the wellbeing of their fellow man, and first and foremost for their family. Its been said that all Freemasonry does is ‘make good men better,’ and that is something we agree with. Would you make a good Freemason? Probably, if you live your life believing in equality, fellowship and integrity, you’re pretty much there.

One essential qualification of joining is the belief in a Supreme Being—not necessarily an established religion, but faith that there is a higher power that guides our direction in life and our relationship to our fellow man.
